Here is our response to the “NAR and Christian Nationalism” statement released by Joseph Mattera and Michael Brown. We were delayed in completing our response for a few reasons, including some we explain in the document. It is lengthy, but we felt the need to provide a response that is substantive and thoughtful. Doug has a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Southern California, and is professor emeritus of philosophy at Biola University and Talbot School of Theology. He has written or edited several books in addition to the three he wrote with Holly, including Faith, Film and Philosophy: Big Ideas on the Big Screen.
